Neuro Human Intelligent Design | NHID

Neuro Human Intelligent Design (NHID) is a research cluster that develops new approaches in architecture by integrating humanistic perspectives (human-centered architecture), neuroscience, and artificial intellegence. This cluster is based on the understanding that the quality of space and built environments is not only determined by function and aesthetics, but also by their ability to respond to human biological, psychological, cognitive, social, and cultural needs, as well as how those spaces are perceived, experienced, and affect the condition of their users.

NHID sees humas as the center of the architectural design process. Therefore, research in this cluster not only examines the relationship between humans and space from a convensional design perspective but also explores the neurocognitive mechanisms underlying spatial experience, environmental perception, behavior, emotions, and human decision-making in the built environment. By leveraging advances in neuroscience and artificial intelegence, NHID aims to create a design paradigm that is more scientific, adaptive, evidence-based, and focused on human well-being. The design process no longer relies solely on the designer's intuition but it also supported by scientific evidence, behavioral analysis, sensor data, computational simulations, and AI-based modeling.

This cluster is developing the Human Intelligent Design paradigm, an approach that combines empathy, science, and smart technology to create built environments capable of improving people's quality of life whilst contributing to the environmental sustainability.
