Humanity and Nature in Design (HND) focuses on an approach based on the relationship between human nature and environmental context, which is the basic essence in architectural design. What is meant by human nature includes the integrity of the human self, both physically (activity, human movement, behavioral patterns, unique design characteristics for each age group and gender, and universal design) and human thought and psychology (philosophy in designing, perception and appreciation, sense of place, place identity, place attachment, and place dependence), while the environmental context is the physical and non-physical order that underlies the manifestation of space and form design in architecture.
